Server-authoritative sync, not last-write-wins

Devices are thin delta clients. The server resolves conflicts, so two desks checking in the same member at the same moment produce one check-in, not two.

Access is a decision, and decisions are logged

Every admit and every refusal is recorded with the reason. When a member says they were turned away, the log says what the system knew at that moment.

How long can the desk stay offline?
The queue is bounded by local storage, not by a timer. It replays whenever the connection returns.
Do we need specific hardware?
No. QR check-in runs on any camera. Gate integration is available for sites that already have turnstiles.
